Where is DELMOND Lake in Anuradhapura?
DELMOND Lake is at 379 Lake Road, Anuradhapura, just across the road from Kumbichchankulama Tank and its lakeside jogging path. Anuradhapura New Town railway station is about 14 minutes on foot, and Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi in the Sacred City is about 4 km away.
What are the check-in and check-out times?
Check-in is from 14:00 until midnight, and check-out is between 06:00 and 11:00. If you are arriving late or leaving very early for Mihintale or Sigiriya, message us on WhatsApp beforehand and we will make sure someone is ready for you.
Is breakfast included?
No. Breakfast is not included and there is no restaurant on site. Guests can use the shared kitchen and dining area to prepare simple meals, and there are places to eat in Anuradhapura a short tuk-tuk ride away. Ask us and we will point you to them.
Is there parking at DELMOND Lake?
Yes. Free private parking is available on site and you do not need to reserve it. There is also space to park bicycles. If you are travelling with a driver, let us know when you book so we can plan the parking for your arrival.
Do you have free Wi-Fi?
Yes. Free Wi-Fi is available in all areas of the guest house, including the rooms and the garden. It is fine for messages, maps, email and video calls home, so you can plan the next day’s route around the Sacred City in the evening.
Are the rooms air-conditioned?
Yes. Our Double, Triple, Family and Balcony rooms have air conditioning and a private bathroom. Anuradhapura is hot for most of the year, so a cool room to come back to after visiting the stupas makes a real difference.
Can you arrange an airport transfer?
Yes. We can arrange airport pick-up and drop-off on request, for an extra charge. Send us your flight details and arrival time on WhatsApp or through the booking form, and we will confirm the price and the arrangements before you travel.
Are children welcome?
Yes, children of all ages are welcome. Our Family Rooms and Triple Room work well for families. The person checking in must be at least 18 years old. Tell us the ages of the children when you book so the room is set up for you.
Do you allow pets?
No, pets are not allowed at DELMOND Lake. This keeps the rooms comfortable for guests with allergies. If you need help finding pet-friendly accommodation in Anuradhapura, ask us and we will do our best to point you in the right direction.
How do I pay for my stay?
You pay at the property. We accept cash, Visa and Mastercard. There is no damage deposit. If you book through an online travel site, that site’s own payment and cancellation terms apply to your booking, so check your confirmation.
Is DELMOND Lake accessible for wheelchair users?
The property is listed as wheelchair accessible, with facilities for guests with disabilities. Every guest’s needs are different, so please tell us what you need before you arrive and we will confirm which room and route through the property will work best for you.
Is smoking allowed?
Smoking is not allowed in the rooms or indoors. There is a designated smoking area outside. Keeping the rooms smoke-free means they stay fresh for every guest, including families with young children and guests with breathing conditions.
How far is DELMOND Lake from the Sacred City?
Jaya Sri Maha Bodhi is about 4 km from DELMOND Lake. Ruwanwelisaya, Thuparamaya and the other main sites of the Sacred City are close to it, so most guests visit by tuk-tuk, bicycle or car. We are happy to help you plan the order of your visits.
