This policy explains how DELMOND Lake (“we”, “us”), 379 Lake Road, Anuradhapura 50000, Sri Lanka, handles the personal information you give us through this website, by phone, by WhatsApp or in person. We follow Sri Lanka’s Personal Data Protection Act, No. 9 of 2022, and, for guests from the UK and EU, the principles of the UK and EU GDPR.
What we collect
- Booking requests: your name, email, phone or WhatsApp number, dates, number of guests, room choice and anything you add in the message (such as flight details or accessibility needs).
- Contact messages: your name, email, optional phone number and your message.
- Job applications: your name, contact details, the area of work you are interested in, your message and any CV you attach.
- When you stay with us: the details needed to check you in, as required by Sri Lankan law.
This website does not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies.
Why we use it
- To answer your enquiry, confirm availability and manage your booking (to take steps at your request before a contract, and to perform it).
- To arrange services you ask for, such as airport transfers.
- To consider your job application (our legitimate interest in recruiting staff).
- To meet legal obligations, such as guest registration and accounting records.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. Form submissions are delivered to us through a form or email service acting on our instructions. If you contact us on WhatsApp, WhatsApp’s own privacy policy applies to that service. When the embedded map loads, Google receives the information described in Google’s privacy policy. We share information with authorities only when the law requires it.
How long we keep it
We keep enquiries that do not lead to a booking for up to 12 months, booking records for as long as the law requires for tax and accounting, and job applications for up to 12 months unless you ask us to delete them sooner.
Your rights
